It was a bitty week for news, so Headlines & Hot Takes isn’t full of scorching opinions, but we did find time to chat about the upcoming Resident Evil Village showcase and the recent reveal of some locations in the game. We also discussed IO Interactive’s mysterious third project and what’s next for Ian Hitman. Of course, we chatted about the fact there are graphics cards smugglers now, too.
Show and Tell is full of chat on People Can Fly’s surprisingly popular third person shooter. So, as well as discussing the game’s launch issues, you’ll get to see some Outriders gameplay and you’ll get to hear an Outriders review. In short, it does a lot of things quite well without being incredible. Also, Colm’s put a decent amount of time into the Abe’s Exodus remake, Oddworld Soulstorm, so you’ll get to hear about how the modernisation of Abe doesn’t include farting in his Oddworld Soulstorm review. Even if the game had farting, you wouldn’t get to see that in his Oddworld Soulstorm gameplay anyway, so you don’t need to worry about that. And there’s a little bit of time at the end for Colm to tell his co-host about all those times he told people to piss off in indie game, Say No! More. You can see his Charlie Dimmock Hulk in our Say No More gameplay.
This week’s Mystery Steam Reviews answers the age old question: New York or Mars. And we round out the show by opening The Weekspot mailbag to answer your Burning Questions on holidays and ini files.
